Happy Oktoberfest Weekend!

September 26, 2025

Love to see all the wild asters along the roadsides this time of year, plus they are an important part of a natural pollinator’s diet when other sources of food become scarce.

Welcome!

Wow, the past two weeks have blown by and now it’s Oktoberfest weekend in Tatamagouche. Perfect weather today for the meatloaf takeout at the Malagash Community Hall this afternoon (I think that it was pre-order only - sorry ;).

It’s also hurricane season, and while we’ve been pretty fortunate so far, it’s good to keep an eye on these things and be prepared - you can find the federal Hurricane Centre here, which has a helpful checklist on how to be prepared with your 72-hour kit.

Race to 1000 - We’re at 948 subscribers. Each time we add 100 subscribers, we will have a draw for a prize from a local business. All subscribers will be entered in the draw, and if you have referred someone by forwarding this email and them subscribing, you will receive a bonus ballot. Please share :)
