Father's Day Weekend, Roses (and a prize for four observant readers)

June 13, 2025

Incredible sight in Denmark recently

Welcome!

Although we seem to have had a long run of wet weekends, Summer is upon us. I am looking forward to more BBQ’s, some patio time and all things strawberry related! (and counting down the days until the Mountain Farm opens their u-pick before the end of the month).

In honour of Father’s Day, I’ve decided to do a draw for a rose bush (valued at $39.99 from Ashton’s Garden Centre, naturally) as my father was very interested in roses when I was younger. To enter, please reply to this email with your favourite colour of rose. Pick-up only, no later than June 22nd.

My thanks go out to everyone who has shared their events, news ‘nuggets’ and feedback. I am also thrilled to have more advertisers joining us for the print edition of The Nuggets - it’s my plan to have the next one out in July.

Race to 1000 - We’re at 818 subscribers! Each time we add 100 subscribers, we will have a draw for a prize from a local business.  (Congrats to our most recent Jodi D who I forgot to mention last time). All subscribers will be entered in the draw, and if you have referred someone by forwarding this email and them subscribing, you will receive a bonus ballot. Please share :)
