Welcome!
Although we seem to have had a long run of wet weekends, Summer is upon us. I am looking forward to more BBQ’s, some patio time and all things strawberry related! (and counting down the days until the Mountain Farm opens their u-pick before the end of the month).
In honour of Father’s Day, I’ve decided to do a draw for a rose bush (valued at $39.99 from Ashton’s Garden Centre, naturally) as my father was very interested in roses when I was younger. To enter, please reply to this email with your favourite colour of rose. Pick-up only, no later than June 22nd.
My thanks go out to everyone who has shared their events, news ‘nuggets’ and feedback. I am also thrilled to have more advertisers joining us for the print edition of The Nuggets - it’s my plan to have the next one out in July.
Race to 1000 - We’re at 818 subscribers! Each time we add 100 subscribers, we will have a draw for a prize from a local business. (Congrats to our most recent Jodi D who I forgot to mention last time). All subscribers will be entered in the draw, and if you have referred someone by forwarding this email and them subscribing, you will receive a bonus ballot. Please share :)
A Few Nuggets … ICYMI
Village of Tatamagouche held its annual AGM and Michael Foote was elected as a new Commissioner. Presentations were made by the RCMP and Tatamagouche Fire Dept. Lots of great initiatives underway.
Tatamagouche Fire Dept, along with mutual aid partners Colchester Special Hazards Response Unit, and Cobequid Fire Department spent a morning at Drysdale Falls practicing high angle rescue scenarios. We are so fortunate to have the equipment and dedicated volunteers in our community.
Tatamagouche Brewing Co will celebrate its 11th birthday this weekend - congrats to all involved and thank you for adding to our vibrant Main Street
John Gordon Mattatall and Mylene Brodeur were inducted into the Skate Nova Scotia Hall of Fame
